Free Friday: BrowserQuest, Craequ, Apollo 18+20 - cartertherly

This week in free games we've got an MMO created past Firefox developers Mozilla as well as a puzzle game created in 48 hours and 38 separate interactive games created by fans of the album Apollo 18.

BrowserQuest

BrowserQuest is an MMO created by Mozilla to show away what a web browser backside do natively with HTML 5. Gameplay wise it's fairly simple: "kill enemies, beget loot." Just there's enough content here for at least a some hours of play. The game runs on Firefox, Google Chrome and Campaign, as well as iOS devices, and Firefox for Mechanical man. Mozilla has also made the source code available on GitHub, if you'd same to poke around under the hood.

Craequ

Craequ is a mysterious little flash game created in 48 hours for the modish Ludum Defy competition. It's a puzzle unfit that's pressurised using the arrows keys on your keyboard… revealing much more than that will risk ruining the mystery of the gamy's puzzles. The prototypic few levels can be a bit frustrating as you figure out the game's gimmick, but formerly it clicks into place you'll find yourself speeding to the ending.

Apollo 18 + 20

Here's a other one. This interactive jut was created by fans of the stripe They Might Be Giants. To celebrate the 20th day of remembrance of the ring's album Apollo 18, fans throw created 38 separate interactive text fiction games, one for each of the record album's 38 tracks. Some of the games are tenuous little things that only take a command or two to come through, but there are also some real gems in here that privy be fun (if a little inscrutable), even to non-fans.
